water fun day
On Monday the 9th of February we had a event called water fun day. When I came to school I saw 7 obstacles set up for us, but before we started we quickly got changed into our house colours.
We split into our classes and headed off to our first obstacle, we had to crawl underneath chairs and quickly run and pour the water that was in the cup into our house bin.The obstacle was very hard to do but I still enjoyed it.
After that we headed off to our 2nd obstacle which was to soak the sponge in water and then pass through a over and under patern until it gets to the last person at the back, so then they run and sqeeze the sponge so it no longer has water in it in our house bin, then they come and start it all over. This was cool and fun obstacle.
As the day passed we were up to the last obstacle, although I didn’t participate in this one it was still cool to watch.
We assembled back to our house groups and were ready to hear the results.Rata came 1st Kauri came 2nd Kowhai came 3rd and Nikau sadly came last place.
At the end of the day I felt wet, tired but I still enjoyed it.

Question: Do our taste buds require smell?
Hypothesis: I thought I was going to taste raspberry. When I unblock my nose I think I am going to taste pineapple.
Materials:
- My hand/blindfold
- My nose
- Some jelly beans
- your mouth
Procedure:
- cover your eyes
- block your nose
- put jelly bean in your mouth
- record what flavour you tasted
- unblock your nose
- record the next flavour you tasted
Observations:
I closed my eyes and blocked my nose, I put the jelly bean in my mouth and the first flavour I tasted was pineapple flavour. Then when I unblocked my nose I tasted feijoa and got it right.
Conclusion: My hypothesis was wrong
