Today at our MADD workshop we learnt about our personalities.We had to split into groups, each group represented a shape, there were five shapes, squares, circles, rectangles, squiggles.We defined what each shape meant.Squares was hard working and independent.independent. Circles was caring and joyful group.Rectangles was the trying new things group.Then Petia finished off with drawing Batman.
I am a Year 8 student at Glenbrae School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 10 and my teacher is Mrs Tofa

ANZAC Report Writing
Anzac day is a day of remembrance for the soldiers who fought bravely for our country.Its been 100 years since the soldiers fought for us and died.
New Zealand, Australia, Great Britain, Ireland, France and India fought in the war.Meat stew' and hard biscuits was a meal that many soldiers ate.
There were 85,000 Turkish soldiers who died, 44,000 soldiers from France who died, 85,000 men from the British who died and 2779 bodies from Australia and New Zealand who died.
The aim for the Australian and New Zealand was to capture dardanelles and clear the path for Bosporus Black sea.

ANZAC Research
What I learnt about ANZAC?
The word ANZAC stands for Australia, New Zealand army corps. ANZAC day is a day of remembrance for the soldiers who fought bravely for our country.Its been 100 years since the soldiers fought for us and died.

ANZAC Remembrance Ceremony
Today the whole school gathered together because we had a special ceremony to remember everybody who fought in the war from Australia and New Zealand.We also had a special guest called Lieutenant Geoffrey come to tell us all about what ANZAC meant.
We sang a song then Lieutenant Geoffrey talked about ANZAC and told us his experience in the war.After that we had people from each class put crosses into the ground in front of our school.Then loudly we said a poem then listened to last post the then went back to class.

ANZAC video reflection
First video;It was about the Turkish people fighting against the New Zealanders and Australians and telling them to surrender because it was there battle to fight it was the British peoples fight.
Second video;It was about the Japanese people trying to rule world start off with the pacific island people.
Holiday Recount
This holidays i just stayed at home with my family because i was to lazy to go and do some fun stuff.
In the first week my brothers and i just played PS4 in our room, the games we played was Call of Duty and NBA 2K15.On sunday we went church from 7:00am to 10:00am.
In the last week i had training for the whole week where we did fitness for example; beep test, yoyo test and laps for the first five days.On Saturday and Sunday we just played fun games such as touch, fijian touch, bullrush and a proper rugby game.
To be honest this holiday was a pretty good boring holiday but it was fun.

Facts
T-Rex's head was about 5 feet long. Its skull had holes in it which made it lighter and easier to carry around.
T-Rex was one of the best known dinosaurs, but it didn't live all that long. T-Rex came along just before the dinosaurs became extinct.
You often see T-Rex pictures with his tail stretched out behind him. He did this for balance.
T-Rex had a very good sense of smell.
When T-Rex ran, he could go 20 miles per hour and could cover 15 feet in one step!

Kiwi Can
Today at Kiwi Can we learnt about negotiating and decision making. We alsolearnt how co-operate in a group.We had a warm up exersize about working in a group to make what ever Mr Numia and Mrs Tuia tell us to, whether it was a letter or something else.Then we had a activity called code breaker.It was a game where we had break a code and get part of the phrase.You had to try and guess the phrase correctly.Then we ended with a general knowledge questions quiz.

Term 1 reflection
This term was an up and down term, we had some good moments and had some bad moments.We started the term off by meeting our new teacher Mrs Tofa.
We had two sessions in the life caravan talking about health, drugs, alcohol and how they would affect our body system.
Then we had a lovely trip to Butterfly creek to learn more about dinosaurs.
We had cricket session for four weeks.Then we picked a team of students to go and participate in the Tamaki cluster cricket tournament where we came 1st.
After that we had touch coaching for another four weeks.
After we had a anti bullying assembly with Petia and Caroline.Then we worked with them for six weeks learning not bully others.
This was a great term.

MADD diary
Today 1st of April Petia came by himself for our MADD workshop. Our focus today was Talents. Talent is what you are born with and skills is what you learn. Petia talked about Sonny Bill Williams and how he is always working on his talents. You need to spend 10,000 hours to master a talent.
Maths Reflection
Today I did word problems,I learnt the five talk moves.It was difficult to find what was asked in the word problem.
